Kia ora, my name is Deane Taylor and it is a privilege to be working on the Kāhui Ako Across School Team in 2017. I am a passionate teacher and educational leader who is excited about seeing students meet their potential. Currently I am teaching at Victory Primary School and I have been working with leadership in the development of assessment and reporting practices across the school. I have been teaching for 12 years across a number of kura ranging from special character schools to schools with a strong focus on modern learning pedagogy. I offer a range of skills to support the Nelson Community of Learning including strengths in teaching as inquiry, working in collaboration, and skills around motivating low progress learners. In my role I am looking forward to working with teachers to build their capabilities around lifting academic achievement and success for their students.
